Today has the feel of spring. As I sit here at the cave window I see new birds that are returning from their winter homes and I welcome them. The squirrels are running all around the yard and the blue-jays are being the bullies that they are. I am so happy to see spring arrive and winter depart. This means the wildflowers will be begging to be photographed along with all the new born of the wild.

Spring is a time for new life and new dreams, it is time for exploring places I have dreamed of during the winter months. Soon the Mississippi Kites will arrive and I will have friends to watch while I drink my Jo in the mornings. It is a time for me to migrate to the Boston Mountains and see the new born elk and the morning fog along the Buffalo in the Ponca Valley.
