I awoke this morning to the forecast of rain, now at nine o'clock rain is falling. I had thoughts of wandering off to the boonies for some "Hermit Time" with my camera but now I will stay in the warm dry cave and watch the rain fall. It is a good day for editing photographs even though I would rather be making new ones or sitting and talking with friends that love nature and wildlife photography.
Daily activities of an East Texas nature photographer and nature lover.I have a need for nature, solitude and simplicity in life..The music of being out in nature is cure for the happenings in a world full of drama. These photographs are from all of my "Walden Ponds"! swamps, and mountains;

Photo: Saturday 2/2/13
Yesterday was a spring day in February,so, I loaded my cameras and went North to my nearby "Walden Pond" for a day away from society and with my friends. I was expecting to find a gator or two out sunning, however they stayed tucked in. I did find a few whitetails and several hawks. This one was standing guard over a shallow swamp waiting for a mouse to make a run. As usual I did enjoy the day and look forward to another day with "Mother".
